Which singer/songwriter known for their folksy manner and warm, heartfelt tunes — such as the ones selected for a popular kids movie — is in reality a sanctimonious jerk who considers all their fans to be psychotic stalkers? Who, for example, "snuck away, complaining the kid was crazy" when a handicapped Make-a-Wish kid whose sole desire was to meet said singer/songwriter made the trip to the asshat's hometown?

I hate to diss anyone in general, let alone in public and whether a private blog is considered 'public' is another story, but anyway ... I don't know whether this artist fits your description: singer/songwriter known for their folksy manner and warm, heartfelt tunes — such as the ones selected for a popular kids movie — is in reality a sanctimonious jerk who considers all their fans to be psychotic stalkers, but I once saw Michael Bolton on a talk show who totally “dismissed” and in my opinion disrespected his “special invited” fans in the audience.
So nu? Who is it?
